Composition

Ceftriaxone 1G and Sulbactam 0.5G

Product Description

Tandak is a potent injectable antibiotic combination designed to eliminate a wide range of bacterial infections. It combines a powerful, broad-spectrum medicine with a protective agent that prevents bacteria from neutralizing the treatment, ensuring it stays effective against resistant strains.

Dossage

Adult dose is 1.5-3G Neonates, infants and children up to 12 years… neonate up to 14 days; 20 to 50mg/kg body weight once daily.  The daily dose should not exceed 50mg/kg.

Infant and children (15days to 12 years); 20-80mg/kg once daily. For children with bodyweight of 50kg and above, the usual adult dose should be used.

Indications

Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, cholecystitis, osteomyelitis, chronic suppurative bacterial, otitis media, gonorrhoea, chancroid, syphilis, UTI, Meningitis, nosocomial infection caused by susceptible bacteria

Side Effects

Gatro-intestinal complaints like loose stool/diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomatitis, glossitis Haematological Changes: Eosinophilia, haematoma or bleeding Other side effects includes headaches and dizziness, increase in liver enzymes.
