Composition

Arthemeter 80mg and Lumefantrine 480mg

Product Description

Marcat is a high-strength, recommended ACT (Artemisinin-based Combination Therapy) designed for the rapid and effective treatment of acute, uncomplicated malaria. Combining two powerful antimalarial agents, Marcat works to quickly clear parasites from the bloodstream and prevent the recurrence of symptoms

Dossage

One Tablet Marcat 80/480 should be taken twice a day for three days (total six doses)

Indications

It is used to treat a certain type of malaria infection in adults and children who weigh at least 35kg. It is indicated only for the treatment of so called uncomplicated malarial attacks due to Plasmodium falciparum (a particular type of malaria parasite) against which the medicine is active.

Direction for use

Oral Administration
The first dose should be followed by a second dose after 8 hours.
The following two days the doses should be taken 12 hours apart.
