PRESENTATION
PILOREM comes as a fixed dose tablet of Telmisartan 80/ Amlodipine 10mg, Pilorem HCT (Amlodipine 10mg/ Telmisartan 80/ Hydrochlorothiazide 25mg) has a pack of 30 tablets . Alu-Alu sachets for better storage.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION: –
Telmisartan and Amlodipine have a complementary mode of action with unique pharmacology in their respective class. Telmisartan’s plasma elimination half-life of approximately 24 hours and Amlodipine of 30 hours is longer than that of any other ARB and CCB classes respectively.
Being an agonist at Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Y (PPAR-Y), Telmisartan can be considered as the first choice of treatment in diabetic patient with hypertension. Amlodipine produces Arterial dilation whereas Telmisartan produces venous dilation at the capillary bed thus reducing pedal oedema.
The above makes PILOREM a drug of choice of treatment with better bp control.

PILOREM is used to treat High Blood Pressure (Hypertension). It lowers high blood pressure and this helps to prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. It comes as a fixed dose tablet of Telmisartan 40mg/ Amlodipine 5mg, Telmisartan 80/ Amlodipine 10mg in a pack of 30 tablets
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION: –
Pharmacological effects begin in about 2 hours after an oral dose, peak in 4hours and last for about 6 to 12 hours. HCT (Amlodipine 10mg/ Telmisartan 80/ Hydrochlorothiazide 25mg)

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION: –
Amlodipine: – is a calcium channel blocker. It inhibits the transmembrane influx of calcium ion into cardiac and vascular smooth muscle. The mechanism of the antihypertensive action of amlodipine is due to a direct relaxant effect on vascular smooth muscle. It does cause reflux tachycardia and subsequently reduces BP.

Treatment or prevention of cardiovascular disorder including chronic heart failure, acute heart failure, cardiac arrhythmia such as atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, atrial flutter, paroxysmal atrial tachycardia hypertension, congestive heart failure atherosclerosis, hypercholesterolemia, cardiac shock, cardiomyopathy, cardiac transplant, myocardial infarction.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Marcnol 10/5 may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents. Marcnol10/5 should be taken with light meal once a day, preferably same time each day. Grapefruit juice should not be taken with Marcnol10/5.
