CLINICAL PHARMACOLOG
Meloxicam is NSAID that exhibits anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic activities. The mechanism of meloxicam, like that of other NSAID’s, is related to prostaglandins synthetase(cyclo-oxygenase) inhibition.
PRESENTATION
DABIC is composed of Meloxicam 7.5mg a known nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to relieve pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis. For short term symptomatic therapy of acute exacerbations of osteoarthritis, long term systematic treatment of rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis.
DOSAGE.
The recommended dose is 7.5mg a day, if necessary, depending on the severity of the symptoms, dosage maybe increased to 15mg daily.
PRESENTATION
Marcgesic is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain to acute musculoskeletal disorders and tension headache. It has analgesic and antipyretic actions with an active combination of Paracetamol 450mg, Orphenadrine Citrate 35mg.
DOSAGE: Two tablets every 6 or 8 hours or as directed by the physician.
